Janet McBride....A Bright Shining Star Janet began her career in the 1950's and has really never stopped performing. She performed among the very best in the 1960's and after retiring from the hectic ratrace of the Nashville performer, she became the owner of the Mesquite Opry, hosting shows throughout the 80's and into the 90's. With the help of husband John Ingram, she built an opry house known to both country artists and fans as well. She began yodeling as a child and once she started she never stopped! Her yodeling just keeps getting better and more creative! Janet is also the writer of many, many songs in the fields of classic country, western and gospel music. Her beautiful song, "Wyoming Rose" recorded on 2 of her many albums was the WMA's Song of the Year in 2002.
